This Little Bird

(Tune: Early in the Morning)

This little bird flaps its wings,

(connect hands with thumbs, flap like wings)
Flaps its wings, flaps its wings,

(lift hands as flapping)
This little bird flaps its wings,
And flies away in the morning!

(lift hands as high as you can)

One Little Bird

(by Patty Zeitlan and Marcia Berman)

There was one little bird in the one little tree
“I’m so alone and I don’t want to be,"
so he flew far away, over the sea
and brought back a friend to live in the tree.
Now there are two little birds in the one little tree
“We’re so along and we don’t want to be,”
so they flew far away over the sea
And brought back a friend to live in the tree.
Now there are three...four...five...
“and we’re not lonely anymore.”
